Abstract

Dementia and cognitive disorders are conditions that greatly increase its prevalence in the world and in our country, with an impact at the individual and social level, establishing itself today as a priority for public health. Research in Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science has been oriented to understand the experiences of living with dementia, from everyday life and visualizing spaces and support strategies for people and their family environments. Research that involves people with cognitive disorders or dementia can be the subject of various discussions and ethical dilemmas, usually related to the notion of autonomy, capacity to consent, methods, quality and validity of findings...
