The Institute of Communication and Image (ICER) of the University of Chile joins the huge international sorrow for the regrettable death of Eliseo Veron and Argentine semiologist great communicator, whose extensive work contributed to the development of thought and the accumulation of knowledge in this transdiciplinar communication area. Professor Eliseo Verón was in the Institute of Communication and Image dictating specialized courses in the Masters in Political Communication in the months of November 2008 and June 2009, having made a great contribution to postgraduate training of our Institute and our communication research center.
